Stop heat in your home escaping
Poor insulation in UK homes is a prevalent issue that affects millions of people across the country. In fact, research shows that around 38% of homes in the UK have inadequate insulation, with many of these being older properties that were built before modern insulation standards were introduced. This lack of insulation leads to significant heat loss, with poorly insulated homes losing up to 40% of their heat through the walls and roof. As a result, heating bills can be high, and many households struggle to keep their homes warm during the winter months.
Upgrade your electric heating system
First Time Central Heating Eco Grants Direct sare available to any household (homeowner or private renter) who currently have electric heating, gas/electric storage or no heating at all. If you receive one of the qualifying benefits you may be eligible.
To qualify for a First Time Central Heating Eco Grants Direct your home MUST HAVE an existing mains gas supply from this date. IF you do not have a gas line then we can install an Air Source Heat Pump.
Replace your old non-condensing boiler
Before replacing a heating system, the scheme mandates that the fabric of a property, including walls, floors, and roofs, must be assessed. Upgrading an old boiler with a more efficient one can significantly enhance the energy efficiency of your Eco Home Grants.
Boilers are categorised by efficiency ratings of A-G, similar to other domestic appliances. In their literature, modern boilers must have an A-rating, indicating their high efficiency.
FAQs about the ECO4 Scheme
We need to validate your eligibility to the scheme by contacting the DWP (Department for Work & Pensions) or speak to your local council in the event you don’t automatically qualify
Yes. All of the work we carry out comes with either a warranty or guarantee.
We have a national installation team, multiple branches and cover the whole of Great Britain.
The Eco Grants Direct scheme has been designed by the government to improve the most energy-inefficient properties. The scheme requires that the fabric of a property (walls, floors and roofs) are considered before replacing a heating system.
In order to be eligible for the ECO scheme, your property must meet the minimum EPC band improvement. The measures identified by the installer will meet this requirement and must be installed to be eligible for the scheme.

When insulating a property it’s important to have adequate airflow throughout the property, therefore it may be required to install ventilation measures.
